Invenergy LLC is an independent power producer specializing in clean burning natural gas power generation and wind for electricity.  Invenergy is constructing the approximate 350 MW Cannon Falls Energy Center at 525 North Park Drive in Cannon Falls, Minnesota.  The project is located on 20 acres within the Business Park North Industrial Park.  Construction began in February 2007 and commercial operations are expected to begin in April 2008.  All power produced by the Cannon Falls Energy Center will be sold under a long term power purchase agreement to Xcel Energy.  The General Electric Company is serving as the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor.
